Checked online last night and a bunch of stuff I needed for a yard project was out of stock. All of the treated lumber was out of stock; and I would have to travel 50+ miles one way to find some.

So I figured I would get some of the smaller stuff at Lowe's and Home Depot - and I was surprised all of what I needed was there. So their online stock check bites.

I picked up the battery / charger along with a tool to use it. Now to find the level so when I install the runners it will be "plum".

Just got a worksharp precision adjust. Got some lapping paper to go with it. Holy crap, super easy to get knives super sharp.

Made my benchmades extremely sharp, I even had a couple cheap chinese kershaws shaving sharp with a mirror edge.

Now that is an impressive niche market purchase, brutal! Let me know what you think of the 3D sound feature. From what I have read, some folks think it makes everything magical, while others think it's not worth the power drain.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

Got these primarily for longer plane rides. Ear buds irritate quickly. Kauai trip coming up next Sunday and hopefully I'll clear the waitlist and have my own personal charge space... using the UA app expert mode cheat, I should know later today.

Way more than I would normally like to spend, but holiday gift cards eased the pain some.

I wasn't very happy with my pair of the Yamaha's. Much the same as you, I very much like my noise cancelling headphones for plane rides (long or short, really).

The sound quality of these is quite good (not on the level of true studio level head phones, but nothing with a closed back and ANC that works for an airplane ever will be). In a quiet environment, my home office for example, they really do a nice job of reproducing the complete sound profile of high quality audio. Past that? They are "Okay". On the plane the sound quality suffered with ANC (IMO), more so than my current pair of Bose QC's.

The ANC is also good, but not quite to the level of the Bose, to my ears. But this is very likely also a result of the lack of good fit/seal, which is my main complaint.

The big draw back to these for me was the fit and comfort of them. I found that they were far to easy to slip out of position if I leaned my head forward. I have a large head, and that makes fitting headphones and such a PITA, honestly.

Hopefully they fit better for you!

    Thanks for the insight.

I'm a huge Yamaha fan, mostly old gear, but have modern yamaha AV and love it so I have high expectations. I also used to have a set of vintage yamaha headphones from the 80's that got lost or tossed in a move and I'm still kicking myself for that. Good examples on ebay go for about what these cost.

My head's not so huge, so if they fit and are basically ANY improvement over the jaybird earbuds, I'll be happy.
