    Default Mountain Ground Squirrels?

Anybody know if there are GS's in any numbers up in the higher elevations? Was thinking of going after them with my little 22 RF Ruger Charger west of CO. Spgs.

Sometimes I see lots of Squirrels on the ground. but most of the time the dog chases them up a tree.

there are squirrels is all of our national forest, and will usually give themselves away by barking at you as you move thru the woods. I know every year archery elk and deer hunting how frustrating it can be trying to stalk up on a critter and those damn squirrels alarming everything. I cant see where you would have a problem finding them in any of our woods. good luck!

There are ground squirrels up in the high plains, commonly referred to as sage rats. A friend shoots them frequently up in North Park. I don't know where to go near the Springs.
