Look at the manual on their website, it has a CAD drawing of the mechanism. Also I would think that the way it rides on a spring would actually act as a buffer for the action, but if not and it did wear out a 10/22 in a few years, who cares! A 10/22 cost about $170.

BTW, I ordered one of these before I posted this. I will let you guys know how it turns out.
I know HunterCO, I should have used that money toward an HK sear but like you said I am not sure how long these things are going to be legal.
