The wife was in the best spirits tonight that I've seen in quite some time. She's kind of tickled that she has lost so much weight since she's been in the hospital. She's re-thinking the idea of a gastric bypass. She doesn't want to go back into the hospital once she finally gets out. [approve]
She's getting use to the tracheostomy and breathing easier She can cap it to talk or when she's out and about, so it's not as bad as she thought it would be.

Well, after 5 months and the heal wound closed up, we're going in for surgery to have the ankle repaired in the morning. It sure will be nice to start making some progress towards a recovery and getting the wife home. [calvin]
