    Default Some Recent Build Pics

Just wanted to share some build pics of my 2 latest builds.
The sight numbers are done in a white lacquer stick, it does lighten up the color of the finish some, but I'll work on that some more later.

I haven't had a chance to range test them, but hope to soon.

First is a Yugo UF built on a Vulcan receiver.
I have US made: receiver, FCG, Gas Piston & Muzzle break.
Finish is Aluma-Hyde II in Matt Black. The wood is original, I just cleaned the comso off and used Tung Oil. Still have some more coats to put on. The sling came from CDNN Inc, only $4.49, I ordered a few.

Next is an AK Pistol done in Aluma-Hyde II Dark Park Grey, 8.5" barrel (Droog from Gunco.net did this), welded front site, matt black furniture (I cut the original down to fit), rear block from Cope's Distr & pistol grip from TheTic00. I like the shorty mag, but my 75rd drum fits in it just fine too[]. This was a receiver I bent myself from a Tapco flat. I originally was going to rivet the reat block in, but broke off a drill bit inside when doing the holes. So I just ended up welding the block in.

It's been fun and I hope to do a few more builds, definately another pistol as they're cool to tinker on.

    Later,

    Great work Kyle,

    Really like your UF.

You will have to bring them to a shoot sometime so we can fondle them. :P

hey give me some info on the reciever, was it a 80% or 100& and how did it fit, are they the correct 1.5mm. I looked on their site and couldnt find them.

I have 2 yugo parts kits collecting dust i was looking at DCI which i have heard makes the best recievers you can buy.
I want to get these 2 kits up and running

I went to a build back in July and have yet to finish that gun. It won't take much more work but I haven't had a chance to get back down there. I definately need to, though. I want to get some more builds done.
