Default What Is Your Hunting Plans This Year?

I will be starting with Doves Sept 1 and then taking nephews out a week later. Hopefully we will get out a couple extra days for Doves

Then heading up for Archery Elk Deer later Sept for a week.

Ducks once or twice in Oct

Ducks/Geese and Pheasants in Novemeber, December, Jan

Hopefully we can work in a couple coyote hunts in late Jan and Feb

Getting really excited to hunt this year, love going and really enjoy the time with my nephews. They are good kids and and my hunting buddies, honestly I would have given up hunting if is wasnt for them.

Sounds like a fun plan with lots of time out in the field. Will be starting with Bear and Elk in late Oct., then pheasant starting in Nov. The pheasant hunt usually turned into a rabbit hunt on the walk-in properties we tried last year. The dogs sure love chasing rabbits around though. Would like to try some coyote this winter too.

Muzzleload hunt for buck, first time for me. Going second rifle for cow, or doe and with some help from an unknown source both! Would like to try shooting some birds this year also, but know nothing about it but want to give it a shot anyway. Now just making sure I can get all that time off.

got buck deer for second season, and a otc bull elk same season, we hunt up by hillside so I need to get up there and scout to see if the fire did damage where we usually set up.

The only plans I have are buying a new scope, going scouting, and then hunting 3rd rifle season over near Wilkerson Pass. Only a buck tag this year, so pretty disappointed since this is the first year my brother has been home for hunting season.

Trout Champ, good luck near Wilkerson. If the China Wall area is in your unit (up the Tarryall Road north from Lake George), scout it out. Lots of mulies move across it.
