yea i agree
it would be 1 of 2 places right now
1. police station
2. ATF office
and let the company deal with it the manufacturer fubar'd that
guns (long and handgun) have to be sent signature reciept even to an FFL. If the company gave me an attitude the gun would be at the atf office right now.
by law, if you want to go through the hassle of getting it transfered to you, You can legally keep the gun. It is FTC federal law if a company sends you something you didn't order, you dont have to pay for it and you are not required to return it. This is federal law and have been in this situation. I have a pdf from the ftc is you want a copy of it. this is directly copied from it
Unordered Merchandise
If you receive merchandise you didn’t order,
federal law says you can consider it a gift. You
can’t be forced to pay for the item or return it.
If you decide to keep the merchandise, you
may want to send the seller a letter stating your
intention, even though you’re not legally obligated
to do so. Your letter may discourage the seller from
sending you repeated bills, or it may clear up an
error. It’s a good idea to send the letter by certified
mail and keep the return receipt and a copy of the
letter. These records will help you establish later, if
necessary, that you didn’t order the merchandise.
