    Default Archery Elk

Is anybody ready for Archery Elk season? What type of broadhead are you using this year. I'm sticking with "The Rage\3blade\100Grain". I only wish they would stay together better when placed on my bow. I may switch next year to a traditional broadhead.

I'm ready. I'll be shooting 5575's topped off with 125 grain Muzzy. It will be fired out of my Bowtech Diamond Black Ice. I'm so ready that I can't sleep at night. Come on Saturday the 27'th!!

In all of my years of Bow hunting elk, this will be my first time to take off for opening morning. I'll also be hunting with a new buddy for the first time. It's on like donky kong!!

I don't like mechanical broadheads. I have watched my buddy curse his for years. I don't know why anyone would chance having problems when a Muzzy will open them wide open with complete pass throughs. But I'm also the guy that only hunts with full containment rest. I just don't like the potential for problems.

I use the Napp spitfire mec. broad heads, and never had a problem. I do NOT like the mec. broad heads that use the stupid rubber band / O-ring's that after time dry rott causing premature opening and fly away. And yes I too am ready.

Nice shooting with you the other day Bryan!!!

This year will be my first hunt of any kind, so why not start with Elk and Bow? I have been hitting the range a few times a week, feeling pretty ready. Sept 16th here I come.

Montec 100 grain. None of that mechanical crap appeals to me since the fail rate os pretty high on it.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.
