Please forgive my ignorance as I really don’t know the differences in PPPS, IPSC, IDPA, and IHMSA. So please forgive me.
I am interested in any sort of variation for practical or tactical pistol, rifle, or 3 gun shoot, or any other that you or target move and shoot. I want to do some fun stuff to extend my prior military training and relieve some school/work stress. And honestly I want to start competing on a regular basis. Maybe once I get familiar with the different types and classes of competitions I can see which one fits me and my guns best.
Also I think it would help me be more prepared for this class I am about to take in MO with Jim Shanahan this fall. I am finally comfortable with my health that I can start doing stuff again that is a little demanding on my body. Still may not be 100% where I was at one time, but I’m gud’nuf.
I still don’t know very many gun people here in Colorado; this is why I am posting this here.
ALRIGHT HERE IS THE REASON FOR THIS POST:
I want to talk with someone that does one of these type competitions. If you shoot competitions at Pueblo West that’s even better. If you live in Pueblo area that would be perfect, but even if you live up around Springs or Canon, or even farther locations in Colorado as long as it’s not to far, Denver or just north of Denver is doable so are most of the eastern plains areas. But I have no idea of any ranges up in that part of the state.
I would even pay for this help if you need I aint rich so it can't be eleventeen million dollars, and I would even buy you lunch or dinner just for letting me pick your brain for a while.
Just to be clear I am not actually asking for actual firearm training. Well actually I guess it's how you look at it. I want to know about what goes on, what I should expect, what types of guns are typically used and what equipment do I need. And then maybe we just shoot a little and tell me what you think and possibly some pointers you can give me to do when I am at the range.
I was told Pueblo West has a tactical rifle competition don’t know what the exact name was of it. One of the guys at Arctic Shooting shoots it I have talked to him a little about it, but not really in depth.
As a added bonus if you reload your own ammo I would greatly appreciate learning some of that to. Nothing major, just to see how its done, and get your advice on equipment. I truely want to buy a reloading setup, but I dont have the first clue on where to even begin.
I am free on most Fridays and Saturdays
But this Friday 9th is tied up with doctors on and Saturday 10th AK build party
Email crankgoboom at gmail.com or yahoo.com I can be reached at either email and that’s the ones I can check at work without any issues
I would be truely thankful for any and all help.
