    Default Iver Johnson "Supershot" .22

Just picked up an interesting old Iver Johnson 8 shot target .22 revolver. My limited research indicates this model was made from 1933- 1957. It is a topbreak with a 6" barrel and unusual target stocks. Stopped by the range on the way back from the gunshop & fired a couple cyclinders full. Seems like it has a lot of accuracy potential. Anyway, it makes a good companion for a 2" IJ 7 shot .22 topbreak that I've had for about 15 years. I love the old topbreaks and wish they still made them. I know you can still get some Uberti Schofields and the like for too much money; but my wish would be for a reasonably priced American made one in .44-40. WB
