SW has 158 gr .38 swc for $6.79 per 50. I've been going there for all of my .38 ammo lately. Usually I find VERY good deals at the gun shows, though. Just look for the guy with the table that looks like he's clearing out his garage or something.

I was there this morning and it was pretty good. No real large ammo dealers and I have still not found anyone carrying a Para mag I have been trying to get. At least I finally broke down and joined the CSSO.
I passed a VERY heated discussion, something about some kind of people who seem to have 'excessive moisture' on their backs or something close to that.
Lots of beanies, jerky and jewelry if you are looking
Is this the same guy that never has any with him?Originally Posted by BadShot

Scored ten 20rd boxes of Sellier&Bellot .223 55gr M193 FMJ for $4.50 each, guy had no cases and said he couldn't go lower. Felt ok about that when the only other guy with the same stuff was asking $6.50, and also didn't have cases. Edit: it's $4.99 at Natchez and I didn't have to pay shipping.
Other buys -
500rd can of .38spl 158gr TMJ for $70 (couple places w/ same deal). My first ammo can. [pirate]
NIB Ruger factory 20rd mag for the Mini-14 for $35. Seen 'em going for a lot more... probably shoulda bought two.
Buddy got a nice CRKT folder for $40 (lists ~$80), and a NIB factory mag for his Sig P228 from the same guy that had my Ruger mag, also $35 iirc.
Then I took the two Uncle Mike's holsters we'd bought for my wife's .380 back to Sportsman's (weren't what she wanted), and exchanged for two HKS speedloaders for my revolver, an HKS mag loader for her gun, and 50rds of .380. Difference was $0.03.
Nope, that absolutely ain't me.. I haven't been to a club shoot since the weekends changed. On the other hand I've run through about 6k rounds of various calibers this summer... it's been a good summer :twisted:Originally Posted by The1andOnlyKC

I was asking about the vendor. Seems like when I used to go a couple of years ago there was one guy that had really good prices on ammo if you asked him about it, BUT he never had any with him and you always had to meet him at his storage locker in Lakewood or some crazy crap....
If anything is misspelled or doesnt make since ignore it, it is either my normal stupidity or the fact that I have had WAY to much to drink right now....
I might try to make it tomorrow morning. Depends on when I get done working out.
It's the weekend...who needs to make sense.. I'm chasing brandy tonite ("sailors say, 'Brandy, what a fine girl...") and sense is just not gonna happen. Ammo...I knew I needed something at the show. Landed an RRA lower, 2 HK M4 mags, small parts. I was looking for M14 parts, but didn't see any. Big crowd, not a bad show, missed out on the FN2000S from 5280. It was one of those, 'I'll come back on the next walk thru and get it'. Not a half hour later, it was gone. ..ah well...dang AR15s have my time for now. Y'aht'a'hee abini!
Picked up a holster.
Didn't have the gun.
Doesn't fit.
May try to take it back tomorrow, I'll have the gun.
Pair of grips that work great, and some candy from a girl trying to get enough money to go to DC, round out my day at the show.
I bought some cheapo reloading equipment. I saw some other things that I really wanted but I was short on cash. Maybe next show.
