    Default Your CCW Caliber

Just curious. Post your gun prefs too if you want.

Diggin your avatar brother. SIG229 IWB here, typically carried at the 2 o'clock. Just occurred to me today that I need to spend more time shooting my CCW ammo and not just the cheap crap that I reload. Don't think I have shot either of my two mags that I have had in rotation for the last six plus months. How do you typically handle ammo rotation? Not sure the spring life of these SIG mags, not wanting to kill them I rotate the mags about every other month and let the spring out when not in the weapon. Your protocol?

Enjoying the forum since taking so long to post since joining.

The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stewart Mill

I haven't worried about it too much but I typically rotate my magazines every few months.

9x18 mm (Makarov or Polish P64), in a belt, IWB or Pocket Holster with a NAA Mini-Revolver in .22 WMR as a BUG. Occasionally a 1911 in .45 ACP (winter months) and very rarely a .357 mag or 7.62x25 mm Tokarev (trail guns).
Not sure what buttons to click . My preferred caliber would be an AK-47 type rifle in 7.62x39 -- but that isn't very practical.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.
