unit 50

me and my brother just bought 70 acres in unit 50 about a mile north of antero res. Im wondering if anybody has ever hunted elk in unt 50 and how recently and were you succesful and what season. i know antelope is abundent cause we went camping at antero this weekend and i seen about 75 of them in the area i also seen a large black bear. but there does seem to be evidence of elk on our land but i have not seen any and the scat looks pretty old

I'm sure they have been pushed a lot with hunting season open. I imagine they will be down lower in that elevation as the weather gets colder.

I've had to wait for elk to cross on 285 from area 50 to 500 before so I know they're out there. I know the deer are pretty numerous as well. Grats on the purchase man. That's a beautiful area.

I Killed a 6x6 2 years ago but there needs to be snow on the ground to have elk come down but there sure are alot when they do. Its the one in my avatar by the way

They hangout in 50 after all the seasons are over. Go thru there alot during ice fishing.
