the springfield is on my list when I go shopping to buy this weekend, but I was kinda leaning to either the s&w or the kimber, but I'm still open. I think there is a fun show this weekend in the springs maby I'll start my looking there? and work my way south to sw.

Adjustable sights or fixed? 45 or 40? High Cap or single stack?

I'll be interested to hear what you're choosing and why.

IMHO a Colt series 70 is tough to beat but they are pushing the 1K mark. I have a AMT hardballer that is one hefty, accurate and reliable gun. Those go for around $300 and up.

I have a couple of friends up here who bought the new Rock Islands. They really like them said they shoot good and seem to be well built.
