    Default Rattles Snakes???

    The new place I just moved has a RS problem. Also there freakin small. I got one that was 18in, but the one the goat just killed is tiny.Whats the best way to keep them away? I have kids just curious. What kind is this?(hopefully Jordan wil post pics)Thanks Jordan

    They like brush piles. Hides them for hunting mice and such.
    More activity on the land the less they will like it.

    Clear brush
    get more goats
    get some cats(they'll hunt the mice that the snakes feed off of)

    Had 3 Goats, but that brings me to my "Dog" problem. I think these snakes are feeding off bugs ,there small

    Get snake away, its a powder they sell at most hardware stores. Garlic powder works also. Man I caught a few bull snakes this year that could have helped you.

    My other property has tons of Bull Snakes, and I have never seen a Rattler over there.

    I'll go help catch some if you need to. I love snakes. Get mouse poison also to eliminate there food source

    I usually just SOS them. There tiny RS i don't think they could eat a mouse,

    Also water during the hot months will attract them. We found many when I was a kid in NM this way. Also I was bit the day before Halloween so don't get cocky if it gets cold.
    The little ones cannot control their venom either so be really careful.

    I almost looks like a prarie snake, they imitate rs behavior to survive. Then again a rattler that small wouldn't have a rattle yet. Just to be safe always assume rattler lol. I need a better head shot to tell.
