I had a chance to clean and inspect my new .450 upper.

I cycled five rounds through it a couple times without firing because I had heard of feeding problem with this caliber.

I looked at the rounds and there is evidence of the firing pin hitting the primer.

I understand the free play in the firing pin caused this.
Is this excessive? Was this thing close the the dreaded "slam fire"?

I will not do this again in my home.
