There's always libertarian. It really sucks that they get such bad press. If they could just get someone with a lot of money that wants to get int office behind them....

I am a Constitution Party voter, but the CP candidate for the congressional seat has not been effective in campaigning, and has almost 0 exposure.

I am partially at fault, but I am out of town all week long, for work. So I have no time to give a political campaign.

All that said, there is still clear differences between Musgrave and Paccione.

As too the problems with Musgrave, how many of you have taken the time to contact her office? Have you bothered to tell her what you like or don't like? She holds town hall meetings quite often, have you attended?

I am one that believes if you elect someone, they should follow the guidence set up by the Constitution for their office and the way they vote. But we all know it does not work that way. So we need our voice heard more than just election day. I have contacted her office several times concerning pending legislation, but not as much as I should have.

We would all be better served by getting involved in the process beyond just the ballot box.

it does not matter which party they represent. anytime i contacted an elected rep their reply is almost verbatim
    over the phone
" thank you for your call. i will pass on to rep XXX how you feel. we thank you for taking the time to contact us and your opinion matters"

    by mail

" we appreciate you taking the time to get involved regarding this issue. your letter has been read and rep XXX appreciates your involvement and opinion"

notice a pattern? whether it be gun control, immigration, funding for XXX. their response is basically a form letter or read from sheet, with a signatuire on the bottom thanking us for our time!

this year i wanted a person running for office to tell me what they were going to do regarding the issues.
instead both dem's and rep's ,as well as the 527's, spent more time and money telling us how bad the other person is.
the voter backlash might be surprising.
of course after John Hari-Kari's, graduate or be an idiot in iraq "joke" the rep's might actually get out and vote and surprise the pundit's.

    Jim,

Part of my point is that we need to be more involved, directly, we need to be the ones in the office taking the calls and responding to letters.

The ones that are making her policy decisions are the ones answering the phones and answering her mail.I spent a short time lobbying at the state capital in Oregon, and got just a glimpse of how this crap works.

You have to get past the guard dogs in order to talk to the principal.

We in general are not getting past the guards to the principal.

I get frustrated and mad as the next guy, maybe madder than most, and I am extremely frustrated at the last 2 years of Musgrave, but she is RKBA and for a strong border security. Pacconie is not.

I am having to become a one issue voter this cycle.

I personally feel that if I vote MM my public schools will suffer more than they already do. She is anti-choice for everything except 2nd amendment. I believe that if the state department calls for a ban on AW's (legislation has already been written) she will support it in the name of homeland security. (MY GAWD, terrorists use those AK47's)

If I vote AP I am afraid my public schools will suffer due to mismanagement. She is also anti-choice.

If there were a Libertarian, I would vote for them because they support your right to put chicken heads on pikes if that's what you want to do. I am disappointed in the L party in CO, since it is teh birthplace of the party. i wish they were stronger and I am doing my part to help them.

A protest vote may make you feel better, but it's a vote that doesn't advance any of your preferred positions.[shark]
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

    true
but at what point does the public become so disenfranchised that we/they don't turn out to vote at all?
i was/have been actively involved in the political system. our daughter (when she was in HS) more so. she was interviewed a few times on the major denver stations as well as the local papers. what you hear and read about a canidate before getting in office vs. what actually happens once in is almost a split personality.
as i mentioned before. the missus and myself are so disgusted with all the canidates come 08 we may vote
sure a protest vote doesn't get heard but is there actually anyone listening?

If everyone starts to actually vote for the party they believe in (Ie: Libretarian) instead of the ones that will probobly have a chance of winning somthing good may actually happen! I just sent in my early ballot and voted Libretarian where i could including gov.
