    Default It's Politic's, Man!

I am unsure of how to vote for Congress in the 4th District. I cannot support either candidate with a clear conscience.
Musgrave - Good for gun's. Bad for most other basic rights.
Paccione - Bad for gun's. Scares me.

    No clear choice.

    I understand your reservations.

    Musgrave is very pro RKBA
    Musgrave is very pro life
Musgrave votes the Bush line on most items, that is what concerns me the most.

She did vote for the strongest Border Bill, and did not go with Bush on that.

The political ads for that race really suck, from both sides.

I will hold my nose and vote for Musgrave, because there is no other alternative, there is no way I could ever vote for AP. And I will continue to write Musgrave and try to hold her accountable for her votes that stray from her constitutional duties.

Musgrave is a member of the Liberty Committee, and I think she needs to be reminded of that quite often. Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo are also members.

Besides Paccione is uglier than a mules butt.

With few exceptions, GOOD people do NOT want to run for office. They would have to rub elbows with the rest of the CORRUPT politicians, fearing that it would eventually rub off on them.
SAD that there are NO GOOD CHOICES.

I wouldn't cross the street to PISS on either of them if they were on fire. I think they both suck canal water and this campaine of total utter negitivity is enough to me me blow chunks!

The worst of it is that I have no idea what either of them stands for. Its just total [bsflag] . Think I do a write in for Gen. Powell, at least I can respect him.

    Powell politically:

Pro choice. Somewhat fiscally conservative, social liberal. He still believes in affirmative action and racial set asides. Although he is an R, he's a RINO. Big time LBJ supporter in the 60's. I've read his bio and IMO, more of a Bloomberg/Rockefeller Republican. Never heard his stand on gun control, but my gut says he would support the AWB.

If you don't like Musgrave and AP, think about the people they enable.

Musgrave: You keep the status quo, less Foley.

AP: Think Speaker Pelosi, whip Barney Frank. Henry Waxman overseeing the BATF and all the new gun legislation. Now in power: the party that re-elected Gary Studds six times after he had sex with a 17-yr-old page. As far as we know, Foley only had phone sex and he was sent packing. Yep, AP's a member of the party of Alcee Hastings, impeached and convicted of accepting bribes to fix cases as a federal judge - now a sitting multiterm US congressman. The party of William Jefferson, caught with $90,000 cash in his refrigerator.

Think of larger government, much larger. Think about half of Mexico being offered dual citizenship to lock in their voter base. Think about the party that shitcans missle defense while N. Korea fine tunes their next generation of rockets to deliver those nukes they developed while Clinton appeased them with offers of more nuclear reactors.

Think about 50 cal bans and a permanent AWB. Think about a permanent repeal of the tax cuts that brought us out of an inherited recession, an economy that absorbed and then overcame the attacks of 9-11 and horrible hurricanes. This impressive recovery happened despite enormous increases in fuel and commodity prices due to almost a third of the world's population in India and China modernizing. Tax cuts that have heated up and strengthened this economy with a rising tide that lifts all ships.... gone. Replaced with more toll booths on the road to success.

Think about specious global warming legislation driving the cost of electricity and automobiles through the roof. Then there's the environmentalist whackos who want to close our ranges and hunting lands, back in power again. What about Canadian-style socialized medicine? You know, the good stuff they dispense at the VA hospitals around the country. Can you spell rationing? Of course there will be more ridiculous ineffective regulations placed on the backs of American businesses such as Sarbanes-Oxley.

Fiscal restraint? Think the Republicans were bad? Tax and spend, spend and tax. And finally, the party of France can clench defeat early in a tough, long war by turning Iraq and Afganistan into Somalia just like Bin Laden predicted we would. Ask a soldier in Iraq which party he feels will support him in his mission.

    Then vote.

I'll take someone that is pro-2A over someone that is not. If you can't defend your rights via the 2nd Amendment, what good are the others?
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.
