AMEN I have felt that way for many years now. None of the POS really say what they are going to do they just slam the other guy..........it's pathetic.

Not that it would matter much what they say they are going to do versus what they really do is another story.

EXACTLY the result they want. If they can't get your vote, maybe thay can alienate you to the point that you stay home.

Yeah, let's sit this one out and beeotch when Ritter and the Democrats who control both houses of the legislature pound a Kali style assault weapons ban up our arses.

Take a look at Maine & Arizona's "clean election" laws.

They limit the amount of cash that can be injected into the process & allow ordinary folks to become viable candidates.

The Mutual Assured Destruction strategy of the Cold War seems to have bled into the political landscape.

The politicians should be governed by truth in advertising laws. I'm tired of the outright lies being repeated over-and-over-and-over. These are not accidental oversights and are being advanced to propogandize with a blatant disregard for the truth.

You'd think we would have learned by now.

I believe a lot of the negativity falls at the feet of McCain/Feingold "campaign finance reform". Some of the most negative ads aren't from the candidates themselves. The use of 527 orgs gives the candidates cover since a lot of the negative attacks aren't coming from the candidates directly.

The ads regarding Amendment 38 really tick me off. Those pushing the matter understand that people would reject the idea if they understood the facts. They'd rather have little girls and old women make an emotional plea that this is about the "right of the people" and "voting" without even hinting that this is about special interests hijacking our representative government.

...and referendum I is about basic rights.

I couldn't agree with you more. Those 527 groups should be outlawed. They are just cover for a candidate that either has no real platform, or knows that the platform they have is so far to the extreme, (Left or Right), that even their own party would disown them.

The big problem is that "W" has been so successful with the 527 groups, (just look at what they did to destroy McCain in 2000 and Kerry in 2004), that they are really the only way to gain office these days.

This fight between Musgave and Pichonie is enough to make me want to blow chunks. I wish there was some way that they'd both loose!

And now the mud slinging between Boprez and Ritter is getting just about as bad.

Don't know about the rest of you here, but for me, November 8th can't come soon enough.

I wonder who the Democrats will put up against Bush for the '08 election.

They can't seem to figure out that he's not in the running.
