Default Larue OBR 7.62 vs JP LRP-07

So, I've reached the conclusion that a 308 battle rifle will be in my not so distant future. Tacticool is fun and all, but realistically, it will get the majority of it's shooting in He-man 3gun. Even with that set asside, I'm a minimalist and like to K.I.S.S. my rifles. I like them to be accurate, reliable, light, fast and simple. In that order. So the big show down in 308s is the Larue OBR and JP LRP-07. I'd like to get some thoughts thrown down. Not interested in horse hockey, mall ninja opinions based on marketing. I'd like to discuss real differences, strengths and weaknesses of each. I have seen them both at the range but have never fired either. I have shot Larue and JP 223 rifles and found them both to be excellent platforms.

For 3 gun? JP. Left hand charge instead of t handle, low mass bolt for faster shot recovery... Just built to run and gun He Man style.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

The only benefit of a JP is the side charger part (more parts to break) and it already comes with a low mass bolt carrier.

The LaRue OBR is more accurate and has two gas port sizes when you shoot suppressed.

Both JP and LaRue heavily support the shooting sports. Both John and Mark are good men I have met both and spent plenty of money with both. I have shot both the LRP and OBR. For a semi in 308, LaRue gets the nod. In 223, JP wins.

I just rebarreled my OBR to 260. Gonna check for accuracy tomorrow afternoon.

larue wil be the better shooter most likely. the JP has some nice additional features. might be a tad lighter too as the obr is heavy in my opinion. but most 308's will be

I ended up ordering both. I've been on the waiting list for a PredatOBR for a couple of months now and I'm expecting to see my new LRP-07 some time in the next couple of weeks. Larue is backordered till doomsday. I need a rifle in time for 2012 RM3G. Some day I'll be able to do a head to head comparison.

You wont be disappointed with either one. I have a LaRue PredatAR and love the way it shoots. Plus it is a very light weight 308. I have shot it suppressed out to 800 yards and found it to be super accurate.
