20 questions huh?
Animal, mineral or vegetable...
A well known Colorado Sports store, Kind of famous {At least on this board} for their less than stellar treatment of gun owners, even though they did sell guns. Recently changed their name. Have a "Sports Castle" in Downtown Denver.

So how have they mistreated local gun owners? Anyone have any stories?
My problem is they never have anyone staffing the area and thus have everything locked in the vault (westminster store). It's become a yuppie sports store. Old man Gart & Dave Cook is probably rolling over in their graves.
Shhhh, be vewwy vewwy quiet.
I'm hunting papers, huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh.
Burnt gun powder relaxes me....... I like being relaxed.
I worked at a Colorado Springs store for many years. Mainly Monday nights.
I finally got tired of the gun dept getting smaller and smaller. Then we couldnt do special orders, then no lay-aways, then no reloading stuff, ect.
I left in late 2001 when I headed overseas. Rarely do I go in any of their stores unless there is a smoking sale on good shotgun or 9x19 ammo.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
I was at a competitor (Colorado Ski and Golf) and had a long conversation with the manager about this very subject. According to him the owners of the unmentionable place did indeed sell to a big nation wide conglomerate that ate up a bunch of other smaller sports stores across the country and combined them all under the new name. The brothers that used to have "the castle" now own Colorado Ski and golf (no guns though) as well as Telluride sports and another store I cannot remember. In short, the owners like the small business atmosphere and the "castle" was getting too big perhaps? Also probably got a pretty penny when they sold the business. That is what I know of it.
