Boulder?

Anyone else in Boulder area into long distance shooting? Been trying to get into distances at 500+ but places to shoot near by are few and far between. Just seeing if anyone has any good spots in the area they are willing to share.

Good luck finding 500+ man, i've been looking for several years too.... all over the Roosevelt national forest. I've found a couple places with 125ish meter lengths and one with 290ish , but the 290 is across the gap of a small canyon, so placing and retrieving targets is a huge pain in the butt.

I usually just take advantage of hunter sight in dates at a few private ranges around the area.

You could look in to the Pawnee Grasslands, but i've never shot there.

I've been out to the grasslands a few times but it's a little out there. I was hoping there was something near by but I guess I'll just keep driving out there.

I've been searching for anything past ~150 yards in the national forest and I've failed to find anything so far. The best I had was perched on a ridge shooting into the side of a mountain but like Sawin mentioned it was a pain to hike to set the targets and then reach the shooting site.

Never been to Pawnee but I'd like to go out in November. Let me know if you're making your way out there sometime soon.
