Default SKS / WOLF = NO GOOD ?

I have a beat up yugo sks that seems to eat eveything except the 1k rounds of wolf 122grain hp ammo.... any ideas ? It has failure to extract only, and only this ammo. If I dump clp on the rounds in the mag it will most of the time work. I traded a guy a box for a box of other russian ammo and it worked 100%. Is it maybe because the ammo I bought is not laquered ?

I've had issues with it too. Mine is more of the primers not firing, but have had some issues with not ejecting. In 300 rds I get roughly 10 no fires and 3 hang-ups. I'm waiting for some head space gauges to check mine.

[postal] I'll find out which cheap is the bad cheap.....
I just got my new GP-WASR (new mfg AK-47 semi-auto - from Romania) Thurs night. I'll see how much it likes the wolf ammo.
My SKS still has cosmo plugging it up. I had it out shooting in 40* temp and it had more problems then.

I'm wondering if there is a burr or nick in the extractor tip. Have your pulled it out and looked at it? You mat hit a gun show and see if you can get a bolt for it and change that out. They can't be very expensive. I'm going to the Tanner Gun Show today, I'll see what they cost. If I can get it really cheap, I'll grab one and let you try it. I always need spare parts.

Cool thanks. I think I did have my recoil spring in backwards though. Which makes no sense because it fired everything else I put it in... strangeness...
