Default I'm short on gun freak friends

Hi all, I'm not much for typing so I'll make it short.
I love guns and shooting them, but I don't really have
any friends I can just go out and shoot with!
    They have other hobbies.

I broke my back a little over a year ago on my A.T.V..
Be thankfull if you have a healthy back.
I have 3 vertebrea that are now fused together.

I'm not whining about it but it changed my life forever.
I'm 42 and have lived in Colorado all my life.
I can't believe how few places there are to be able to shot.

I've been on Boulder's waiting list for 3 years and I'm still 325th on the list to join. The only public range I know about is Cherry Creek.
I'm far from being a good shot. And now I have my back
handy cap that does NOT help.

I had to give up trap shooting, I can't stand hold a shotgun and twist
any more. I did get back on my A.T.V. and rode it again.
Now i'm thinking about getting back into shooting again.
I don't want to just give up.

I have a long way to go on my shooting skills. But I was thinking
about maybe trying to shoot a match. Later after a lot of practicing.
I'm looking for a gun freak friend, that's a little different it sound like
something you would read in the personal adds ops: . I would like
To find a place to shoot and help refining my skills.

    Thank you Dan [poke]

what are your limitations? (mobility wise)

Our North Shoot location requires a short walk and includes a minor 'berm'.

south shoot is accessible by car.

Boulder has matches open to the public.
Next one will be Friday night Dec. 1 at 7 pm. (it's inside)
PM me if you need more info.

    That's great!
But I'm being realistic when I say I need to practice first.
I would like to know some things about thoes matches.

Do they have seperate classes when they shoot?
For example, the type of gun, Your personal skill limit.
Commercial ammunition as apposed to reloads,
And how many yards do they shoot?

Thank you for the tip!

    "A" class = 8 rounds or less
    "B" class = 9 rounds or more
"R" class = revolver, no porting.
    Everyone shoots the same stages.

For example, the type of gun, Your personal skill limit.
Handguns, 380 or up. No magnums.
Around 30 rounds per stage, two stages.
You should have enough mags (or speed loaders) to hold at least 40 rounds.

Commercial ammunition as apposed to reloads,
Reloads are ok, but if they are bad you will be asked to use commercial, or stop shooting.

And how many yards do they shoot?
    7 - 10 yards.

Thank you for the tip!
