Default Finally finished my Turkey fan mount

Well it has been quite a while but I finally got things taken care of! The only thing I wish I would have done a bit better would have been a lot lighter stain. the wood had a really nice grain to it and the stain was too dark. I sanded it down some but decided it was good enough as it was. It will be going in the garage.

and in case you are wondering, I took a 12 gauge hull, punched out the primer and put the turkey beard through the primer hole. it looks pretty good but I left everything sit too long and I would have liked for the beard to lay more flat down...maybe with time that will happen.

Overall, can't beat it for a do it yourself mount! cost = $0.00 expect for my time!

Here is the Turkey I had planned on doing the same type of thing with.

We were watching a buddies dog and my wife left the basement door open. Not so good.

I love dogs! They are sooo good at helping with projects!
My english setter decided the pheasant pelt in the garage needed to become feather fluff as well
