An existing shop up here recently opened a new indoor range.

Westminster said they don't want any guns in Westminster.
And that was that. So Alex told me he was just too tired
of beating his head against a wall of politics and gave up.
Do you have any direct quotes, names of officials involved, etc? Westie has elections coming up next year, and it sounds like somebody needs to be spanked and unemployed.

    No sir.
I don't remember the names of officials. It was about 6 years
ago. I was looking forward to a new range. I offered my help in anyway I could. But I'm just a welder and don't have very much extra money. But Alex owned his own company, and did have the backing.

I didn't think it would be a problem. Then the city officials stopped him
dead in his tracks. Alex is a pretty upbeat guy and that took the wind
out of his sales. I know it left me with a very negative point of view.
Alex offered to provide a pistol safety class at no charge to the city.
The city would not even start a negotiation.

How could the city stop him. I thought state law prevented separate zoning for gun stores/ranges.
