Looks like the 452 Version has been discontinued, and has transitioned to the 455 which is available in .22LR, WMR, .17, or .22lr/.17 (which is the one that I would LOVE to see a review of)

    Edit: Found a decent Video

Check out rimfirecentral.com they have lots of info and reviews of the 455.

I have a CZ 455 22LR. Love that rifle. In steady wind conditions I can hit an 8" steel plate consistently at 300m.

It's with BP right now getting the barrel chopped and threaded for a future can.
    Keep Calm and Carry.

This is NOT good... the more I research, the more I want one...

The CZ 455 might be easier to find, and I don't really recommend getting multiple barrels for it. I don't think it would be consistent changing the barrels. And it's an excuse for multiple rifles

The CZ 452 would be a better choice if you can find one.

My 455 will overlap holes at 25 yards, and at 100 yards I can achieve sub-MOA with match ammo. It's far more accurate than I am, and it's great training/practice.

I don't shoot at paper too much because it's so much fun to lace rounds out to crazy distances at steel. I'm getting offset rings this week so I can try reaching out to 400m.
    Keep Calm and Carry.

Many folks seem to agree that the 452 & 453 .22LRs tend to be a little bit more accurate though I am sure the 455 can't be far behind.

There are still plenty of 452's available new. Bud's Gun Shop has the 452 Varmint Thumbhole stock for around $400.

I decided to go with a 25MOA base from DIP, Inc but the offset rings will work just as well.

I have had several folks laugh at me when I have told them that I like to shoot groups with my .22LR out to 300 yds. It's actually very doable with good ammo.

I have the same base, but it's not enough for 400m. At least with my scope. So I'm adding offset rings on top of it.

A lot of people underestimate the distance you can accurately shoot 22LR. It's easy to impress people in that regard.

It might be the use of subsonic vs. high velocity. Subsonics are far more accurate out to distances because crossing the speed of sound barrier twice tends to destabilize the bullet. Though I was recently shooting with friends and they were putting Win 555 bulk out to 300m with an old M69.
    Keep Calm and Carry.

I have a CZ 452 mannlicher. It's one of my all time favorite .22's to shoot.

That is a real fine looking stock.

All this 22lr distance talk is making me wish there was a .22lr steel dog match tomorrow. The next one is on Saturday, June 30, 2012, out at WHAC in Brighton. Bring those pretty rifles out and ring some steel.
