    Still, we can't afford to lie back and do nothing. Contact your reps, the gov's office, etc. This is unthinkable.

    You know guys, it's great that we should get out the writing and calls and all that, but if it isn't done as a united front we'll be ignored.

    When the time comes (and I suspect it will with that dillweed running the shop) we will need to organize.

    I don't mind doing a bit of leg work and coming up with materials, but I am going to need help. So if anyone is willing to do that let me know, perhaps we'll come up with a group that can coordinate with CSSA and the NRA-ILA.

    When I hear of confiscation, I just want to remind everyone of what Americans have spilled blood over.

    Ther is no way that any person who remotely claims to be an "American" (reffering to a US citizen) having the same mind set as Saddam (yes, this mean I compare gun grabbing liberals to Saddam), or any of the other dictators who have been present through-out history, if they do not have one ounce of education of our declaration of indpendance and the beggining of the American Revolution.

    Keep in mind the "shot heard around the world", started because the British wanted to sieze CITIZENS arms!!!

    Those who don't learn history...are destined to repeat it...

    I hope it never comes to that, but it may...

    In the village of Lexington west of Boston, the residents had been preparing for a fight they thought was imminent. They had accumulated powder and shot during the winter, but the high cost of those items had made target practice a rarity.

    As the British advance party approached shortly after dawn, 77 Minutemen were instructed by Captain Parker: "Stand your ground; don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." The British commander, who was pleasantly surprised by the small size of the American force, ordered the colonists to throw down their arms and disperse. Some began to obey the order to leave, but held on to their arms. At that point a shot was fired — its source is unknown. Other shots quickly followed and when the smoke cleared, eight Americans lay dead and 10 were wounded; one British soldier was slightly wounded. The outmatched Minutemen retreated into the nearby woods and the redcoats proceeded westward to their main objective, Concord

    The town of Concord was alerted to the advance of British forces by Dr. Samuel Prescott shortly after midnight on April 19. Church bells rang out the alarm, summoning Minutemen from the vicinity. By the early morning hours several hundred men had gathered in the town and began a slow march toward the oncoming redcoats, who had easily scattered the militia in Lexington. However, when the Americans first sighted the British advance force, they abruptly reversed direction and retreated to a hilltop outside of town.

    By 7:30 a.m., the British force entered Concord intent on two objectives — destroying weapons and eating breakfast. A local man was forced at gunpoint to reveal where the town cannon had been buried a few hours earlier; it was quickly unearthed and disabled. Other redcoats searched homes in the town for arms and purchased food from reluctant residents.

    I am sure that "Rocky Mountain Gun Owners" will be in the fray.
    They are watching.

    I would trust them, to help with local matters, more than the NRA.
