There are a few people out there using them, but not many. 260 is pretty much the norm.

If you dont reload, the 6.5 CM is a good option.

I had a R700 re-chambered to a 6.5CM, Kreiger barrel. Put 2800rds on it than sold it. Very accurate with Berger 130vld's.

    Semi or bolt rifle?

    Do you reload?

I have four 6.5 Creedmoors. Two DPMS ARs, one with a 24 inch Kreiger barrel, one Remington 700 and one AI in 6.5 Creedmoor. I like this cartridge and the way it performs.
Easy to reload and the reloading recipe is on the box.

It's a good round. If you can load your projos longer, then the 260 gets you better performance, but in a shorter COL the 6.5 CM tends to give a better velocity. In a shorter action like the remington 700 you can get a better velocity because the 260 is too long for the mag to get the longer seating depths. Also, the Hornady loads are SO much cheaper than good 260 ammo. When reloading it doesn't really matter, but the 260 you can get Lapua brass - nice, but expensive.
