Default New Frontier Armory polymer lower

Since my review of this polymer lower got wiped out in the recent "unpleasantness", I thought I'd give it another shot. Got the NFA lower at Stop, Drop & Shop at 3920 N. Academy in the Springs about 2 weeks ago. I wanted it specifically to go with my CMMG dedicated .22 upper.

It mated perfectly and functioned fine from the get-go. So far I've put 75 rounds thru it. About the only thing I can complain about is when I pull the trigger, it has a plastic feel (if that makes any sense). I know that the FCG can be replaced with "real" parts, and that may happen in the future. For now all I've done is replace the pos buttstock with a Magpul CTR- really a nice addition (no wiggle). BTW the NFA lower comes with a commercial buffer tube. WB

One note. I just picked one of these up as well and decided to just replace all the plastic parts in the whole lower. Picked up the CMMG LPK to do so. Here is what I found.

Trigger group - went in fine, the pins were quite tight, but had no effect on function. The trigger pull was at least 50% longer, so much so that I noticed on the first test pull.

Safety selector - Switched out and found the new selector very difficult to manipulate. Extremely tight fit.

Takedown pins - Again, extremely tight fit. Forget using your bare hands. I ended up using a delrin pin and a hammer just to get them to slide in and out.

Mag release - this was the weirdest one. Instead of feeling tight, it manipulated outward just fine, but would not come back in once depressed. The block on the left side was getting stuck in the frame. Useless.

Debated filing out all the hols for a little bit, thought better of it, and just reinstalled the plastic pieces. Now I've been forced to by an SAA lower from m*o*a just so this LPK doesn't get lonely.
