    Default ELK is out!!!!

They don't have the official results posted, but go here:
    http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/...ncePoints.aspx

    put in the info.

on the bottom you can see the current preference points. If you drew your first choice your number should be zero. If you drew your second choice or did not draw, the PP will still be there and you will have to wait and see if you actually did draw.

Mine rolled to 0, so I drew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good!

I didn't apply for archery elk this year. 30+ years and all the old time friends and family are aging enough they aren't going, so not much fun without them.

We're also restricted at work for Paid Time Off usage, September through January 2013. We're not allowed to take more than one day here and then, no weeks or long weekends. Kinda stinks.

Waiting to see if I drew the plains archery deer, Dad has a rancher that wants a herd thinned out.
Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

I hear ya! Last year I took a Wednesday to hunt elk and had to work a Saturday to make up for it. Glad I know how to fill a tag in a day!

This year I cashed in my 9 deer points on a doe tag. I gave up on my dream hunt that still would require another 10 plus years to accumulate prep points. I also drew antelope.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

No antelope or deer for me. I guess it's just over the counter bull this year

I drew antelope and deer, but doesn't look like elk. Both antelope and deer were second choice, so maybe I got a second choice elk.
