Shotgun. bring what you got, but you will want one that holds 8rds preferably

    sturdy gun belt
pistol holster(No IWB, crossdraw, shoulder mount.) a good kydex holster will work great.
    double mag pouch
    rifle mag pouch
A way to carry extra shotgun shells.
    no steel core ammo

anything you don't have you will most likely be able to borrow. just post up what you may need.
When you say bring 3 rifle mags, do you also need 2 rifle mag pouches? Or is that 3rd rifle mag a spare in case one of the two you regularly use (1 in the rifle, 1 in the single rifle mag holder) fails?

Also, just to start out with, for a shotgun shell holder is one of those big-open hip pouches acceptable?

for this "match" and almost all matches 2 mags will get you through a stage(unless its a long all rifle stage.) One mag really but I always carry a spare even if the stage only calls for 12rds of rifle.

the hip pouch will be problematic because you may have some heavy movement before you get to the shotgun and lose half your shells. Even a bandoleer maybe a better option temporarily. if you have an 8rd shotgun with a 6rd side saddle that will get you through a lot of stages.

Very informative, thank you! I'll have to workout a solution for the shotgun shells, then.

I'll try to answer some of the questions.

First, it is a clinic, so there will be some Q&A, demos of technique.

Second, don't buy anything, bring what you can and get an idea of what works in this fairly equipment intensive sport.

Third, I will be there by 9am at the latest to set some stuff up. I will start at 10am, berm 11,12 (east end) of East berms.

Fourth, cost is $10 for the clinic to cover expenses.

Fifth, a pistol (2 mags and 50 rounds) and holster is needed, everything else is optional. The more you have already, the better the practive will be.

Sixth, bring it all means if you have 2 rifles, bring them so you can try them. Slings too.

Ammo, 50 rounds pistol, 200 rounds rifle, 150 rounds birdshot, 20 or so each of buck and slugs if you have it. Not necessary to go buy it if you don't have it already.

No need to sign up, just show up.

Looking forward to this! Got all my gear packed finally. Definitely in "better safe than sorry" heavy-laden-down mode.

    You are most welcome!

When the long berms get built, we'll do a rifle only clinic day and stretch the ranges out. Hopefully November sometime if the snow holds off.
