    Otherwise, I'll just bring my 11-87. And if anyone wants to borrow my 11-87 to use, let me know!
    Bring em both. It's a fun stage and if you want to hand a mag to someone to load while you are emptying the other, that is cool with me too.

    I've got a dumb new-at-multigun question.

    In handgun competitions, when you're not actually shooting, the gun chills out in your holster. If you have one or more long gun in addition, how does that work out? Bagged or slung muzzle-up?

    Not dumb at all.

    Bagged is easiest, just make sure you are muzzle into berm when you bag and unbag. Can carry slung as well, chamber flags are a very good idea if carrying slung.

    Sorry for yet another noob question;

    But does the below mean 65 rounds of rifle, 65 rounds of whatever handgun caliber for each stage (4) for a total of 520 rounds for the match (roughly of course)?

    Just want to make sure I bring enough ammo.

    4 stages with rifle and pistol for the match score. Plan for about 65 rounds of each.

    1 stage of all shotgun, birdshot only, 24 rounds, optional fun shoot.

    No, not each stage, total. Actual minimums required are 66 pistol and 66 rifle. I'd bet the average shooter will got through about 90 rounds of each.

    I had a GREAT time!!! Thanks to all whom took time to "tutor" me for my first match. It was a lot of fun!

    I met my goals; 1) Don't shoot myself, 2) Don't shoot anyone else, 3) Have fun!

    I accomplished all three.

    I did learn a lot about equipment...

    I've got a lot of practice to do between now and the next "club" match!

    Rule of thumb: The previous owner is always wrong until proven otherwise
