Default Some TRG-42 & AWSM pics

I recently finished an article for the 2007 Combat Annual comparing two military 338 Lapuas-- the AWSM and the TRG-42. Here are some extra pictures from the last two months. Enjoy.

At one point, we were shooting steel at 940 yards. The AWSM shot 5 rounds into 4 inches (bottom), and the TRG shot 3 into 3 inches (top) before its base came loose and threw the other two shots off the side of the target (you could wiggle it side to side).

Answers: Yes. Will be Apr 2007. Caliber derived from 338-.416 Rigby. Yes. No bad with a good brake. Your call. You can carry the 338 Lapua rifle.

On the AWSM: S&B PMII 5-25x56mm P4-Fine reticle, 0.1mil clicks.
    On the TRG42: USO SN3 3.8-22x44mm, MOA-scale reticle, 0.5 MOA elev clicks

I have gone to S&B glass on all my LR bolt rifles now.

    cedrik,

Yes, but it depends on conditions.

Do you do all of your shooting alone, (to be read "away from all the dangerous idiots") or in some organized group. I am interested in long range shooting but am far from proficient at it and would be interested in watching you or other long range shooters shoot. Are there any Front range formally organized long range clubs or matches you attend?
