I read this on the Sampson board, has anyone ever heard of it? :?:
thanksOh... and if your weapon is brand new, you may want to lock the bolt to the rear and leave it like that until you can get it to the range. That way the number of break-in shots will be reduced.
I was frustrated with my first AR because I had numerious FTE. Then I did a search and finally read the manual and found out that there would be a 200 round break in period. I locked the bolt to the rear while it was being stored and the next time at the range, the weapon worked flawlessly.

. Every AR I own I simply took to the range and shot it. My AR with the RDIAS was brand new and I pounded the hell out of it F/A about 500 rnds first time out.
