    Default Sporting clays anyone?

Cabin fever is taking hold....gotta get out and shoot something. I called Colorado Clays yesterday and they said they had 10 stations opened up and should have all twelve open by this weekend. Skeet and trap open as well. I would like to go Saturday if it doesn't snow or Sunday if the weather cooperates.....cold is no problem but cold and precipitation sucks! [postal] [postal]

Tomorrow it is going to snow I might give Sunday a shot. Post this in the shotgun forum next time. [wink]

How many clays are you thinking about? I usually shoot 200 when I go out. If Sunday is a go I might be able to swing that I will buy a flat of shells tomorrow just in case.

I usually shoot 1 round of sporting clays and 3 or 4 rounds of skeet. I wouldn't mind two rounds of clays instead though....I could use the practice. Plus they give you a decent discount on the second round! :P

Oooops....I forgot about the shotgun forum waayyy down there!

I never said anything about what kind of clays just 200+ is all I care. I just want to burn up a flat of shells and show everybody how bad I suck. [pirate] [train]

Well I'm certainly no expert either....I still haven't broken 50 on the clays course yet...But I sure have a good time trying! If they open Sunday I am still willing to go....probably have the whole place to ourselves.

Looking at the weather forcast I don't think it is going to happen. It is supposed to cold as hell tomorrow. I don't mind a little cold but shooting clays in temps that are in the teens does not sound like fun.

Anyone still going to Colorado Clays? It's pretty chilly out there still with the high expected to reach 29 - 30 degrees by noon. Projected 20 to 30 mph winds with up to 50 mph gusts in the foothills. Later today the winds will shift and start a slow warming process but, it could be little too late by this afternoon. The wind chill could suck early but, who knows? I'll consider bundling up for the Artic Sporting Clay Shoot if any of you guys are still planning on going. I don't know how well I can shoot with six pairs of long unerwear on but, I just might have to find out. [ohno] [ninja]
