    Default Daughters are awesome!

My daughter with her first elk 12/13/2011. A special thanks to Bryan @ www.WalchleRanchHunting.com for his graciousness! Was an awesome experience; can't wait to do it again!

Wow, that's awesome! How old is she?

I should try hunting at least once before I croak.

She is 15 and did an awesome job. We practiced quite a bit last year mostly running around the house dry firing at pictures. Can't wait for this year!

15? Looks much younger....must be the hat, clothes and position. My 15 y.o. grandson says he'd like to go hunting, and I probably would too, but I don't have a clue how to go about it or where to go, other than paying huge bucks for a guided hunt.

Anyway, good for her! I don't even know ya and I'm proud of her too!

Very cool. Lucky girl and father. Did she have any issues at first regarding "killing an animal?"
I have talked to the 7 yr old about hunting and she doesnt want to kill anything but maybe when she's alittle older.

No issue at all killing the animal; they were always super excited about animals, I think partially because they loved the meat. Her younger sister wants to shoot one also but doesn't want anything to do with cutting it up.

I have found that keeping the caliber small at first, like a .22, and then gradually increasing it, kept my girl enjoying firearms. Now, she enjoys shooting 9mm or .223.
