I have found that keeping the caliber small at first, like a .22, and then gradually increasing it, kept my girl enjoying firearms. Now, she enjoys shooting 9mm or .223.

Took mine to BluCore last week for her first pistol shooting. Still working on basics and not ducking to avoid getting hit by the casings. Im just excited she is willing to go.

If you want a good hunt for a youth check out Nebraska. They have deer tags for $6.00 for youths. You get 1 buck and 1 doe for the $6.00 and you can buy 2 sets. Thats 2 buck's and 2 doe's for $12.00. They also have turkey tags for $6.00 for youths also. There is alot of CRP land to hunt. I took my 2 sons and my daughter last year and almost any farmer will let you hunt on their land if its for the kids.
12 bucks you can't beat that with a stick!
That's awesome. I also thought WOW a 10 year old girl with first elk. Still awesome at 15. Shit I'm twice that old and not killed one yet...and not from lack of trying.
congrats that is cool
