Default Please read if you only have out of state issued CCW permit!

Please Contact Your State Senator Today!
Senate Bill 34, sponsored by State Senator John Morse (D-11), will be
heading to the Senate floor soon. If enacted, non-resident concealed
carry permits will no longer be valid if the address on the holder's
identification is different than the state where the permit was issued.
For example, a Florida permit issued to a non-resident will not be
recognized in Colorado. In addition, SB34 will potentially threaten
    reciprocity agreements.

Please contact your State Senator today at (303) 866-2316 and
respectfully urge him or her to oppose SB34.
Also, please contact State Senator Jim Isgar (D-6).
He could be the deciding vote on SB34.
Please contact him via phone at (303) 866-4884, or email
isgarsenate@frontier.net and respectfully urge him to vote "NO" on SB34.
Please keep checking your email and www.NRAILA.org for future updates on
this threat to the Second Amendment in Colorado!

doesn't the bill still have to go to the house before it becomes a law.

Delphi first off the article you posted simply said it made it out of the judiciary comitte. This means it can now go to the floor for a full vote so it has not even passed in the senate yet.

I would recommend contacting your legislatures rather than the Sheriff since the Sheriff has no control over what laws are enacted.

I'm really starting to like the Senator for my area, Nancy Spence. She and I are also corresponding on a Special Education issue dear to my heart. I'm hoping she'll be able to help with getting additional funding for those programs. But here is her response to my email about SB34.

"Because the D's outnumber us in the state senate (and house) most D bills
will get out of committee. We have a chance to pass (or kill) some bills on
the senate floor. Usually Sen. Tochtrop votes with R's on gun issues,
perhaps Sen. Isgar, maybe another D. We only need 3 D votes to join with
the R's to pass or kill on the senate floor. That's assuming all R's stay
    with us.

Don't be discouraged - we always have a fighting chance on the senate floor.

    Sen. Nancy Spence"

So what I reading is that we need to start writing to more than just our Senators, we need to drum up a list of the Pro-gun Dem's that we can all write to.

Honestly, I am hoping that EVERY member here takes the few minute to write, obviously at the state level this is extremely effective!
