Yeah maybe his landlord is bending him over..

I understand overhead and making a profit, but holy shit!! He was honestly worse than a pawnshop. Pawnshops generally price on the high side knowing that they'll get haggled down but they aren't this insane...

    $800 for a Wasr 10??? Seriously?

I was talking to him and apparently most of the inventory in the store is from his personal or business partners collection over the years. He was bragging about $750K of inventory on the walls and only having to purchase $40K of it to get started.

Harmony & Lemay?? in the sams club area or the east side by the bagel place. Those store fronts are proud of monthly rent.
Maybe they have an interest in my $1500 Draco conversion, with 1 mag.

Yeah over by Sam's. Although he's not on that big strip he's in a building in the middle of the parking lot, right next to the Roll Cafe.

Thumbs up Not a 100% correct

Bear arms in Windsor gets $699 for non converted Saiga's in 7.62 and USA only charges $499!!!! $200 less. And only $50 more for .223 as Bear quoted me 499. The owner told me he had just opened and that most of the guns were priced with Blue Book publications. Since most of it was privately owned guns he had more room to deal buy hadn't had a chance to correct any prices to go with the market. He also showed me that the Wasr 10 on gun broker and action arms are all going for 7 a $800 so why not price match when you can't get them from Century right now. Instead of making such a uneducated and rash desicion especially on a new fun shop I mean gun shop give the guy a chance. He gives a 10% LEO and Militaru discount. Who else does that even on ammo. I'm going to visit again just to see if he gets his pricing straightened out. Clean, well lit and friendly.

Nice 1st post, a friend perhaps of the business?
Anyone who is going off gun broker for their pricing needs to brush up on what the competition sells their guns for. I can save you $300 off his selling price on a wasr if you like, let me dig around the safe.
10% off his $7-800 wasr brings it down to a whopping $630-720, yep that's taking care of le & .mil guys, real well.

Well I went into Bear Arms the day after stopping in Liberty Arms and there exact model saiga 223 was $400. Thats what I saw. Whether prices went up after I left I don't know.

keep in mind that there is a couple of different models of Saigas. There is your standard saiga and then there is a "partially" converted saiga with the correct gas block front sight base and AKM pattern handgaurds that cost more. That might have been the gun you got a price on.

The guy was still wanting $800 for a Wasr10 and $1000 for a SKS. Thats crazy..

    Default Thanks for the help!

I am an avid gun nut and appreciate the helpful feedback. This new shop is very close to my house so maybe I will do the neighborly thing and possibly give him some useful info on other gun businesses he is pricing against. I want to see them suceed not only for my personal reasons but for everyone that enjoys guns! With any new business there are some grown pains. Hopefully he will get his pricing to be a little more inline. I did however enjoy 10% off everything in the store when I was in for Fathers Day on Saturday!!! Got 9mm federal box of 50 for $9.00 and .40 LE bonded Winchester for &17.99. Thanks for all your help and hopefully you will give them another chance, I will.
