    Default hello all.

hey everyone, thanks for having me. i just recently purchased a bushmaster xm15-es2, its got a 24" heavy stainless barrel it has a rail system for a scope but it has some kind of really cheap scope on it. I bought the rifle used at a pawn shop it is in really good condition and i only paid $750 bucks for it, i thought that was a pretty good deal, but i am not sure can anyone drop any insight on that for me, plus i want to purchase a decent scope for it something in the $100 to $150 dollar range does anyone have any insight or sugestions? thanks a lot for your time and all. and if there are any questions just hit me up.

    welcome aboard

price you paid doesn't sound too bad.. depends on what rail system it is (got pics?)

checkout the scope/optics section (be ready with what kind of shooting you're wanting to do)

Howdy Shadowsaint, Welcome to the Club. If you ever get up this way and want to shoot with us, We'd be more than happy to let you check out some of our different sighting configurations. Some of us use EOTEC or Red Dot illuminate sight. Others use Scopes and some use both it just depends. Where at in Ok are you from?

i live in a town called harrah its about 20 minutes outside of okc, i used to live in colorado springs, and i was a member to the isaac walton shooting range, my dad who lives here in oklahoma used to be a class 3 arms dealer, so i have quite a few rifles and such but i recently purchased my xm15 and i really don't know a great deal about it, but i am quite a proficiant shooter, i have gotten first place and several local shooting compatitions, my favorite caliber is 22-250, i have a rem 700 bdl custom deluxe. some one mentioned about a red dot scope what some opinions about them, i prefer leupold scopes but i dont have the funds right now to spend on one. i do know from one of my best friends " ex force recon marine 2 tours in iraq'' he told me if you zero the ar15 in at 30 yards its pretty much the same at 300, so i want something that will really reach out there but at a decent price. all my optics right now are leupold, burris, and springfield, but they for what i want are out of my price range. so any info would be greatly apprietiated, and i still have family in springs and i get there about once or twice a year , oh and i am a IBEW electrician, 100% Union 100% American.....

Welcome, Sounds like You have either a V Match or a Varmiteer, price sounds about right for a Pawnshop. If it's still in good shape and not abused, it is very accurate. The best glass that You can afford to put on it will do wonders.
