    Default new winter beater

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8733507&rd=1,1

    ugly as all hell,
goin to pick it up next week, bring it home and over the weekend do a full tune up, fluid change and go through it, I may rebuild the carb as well. Goal is to use it for a work truck until summer. Then may do some work to it, and clean it up. They are ugly as sin but built like tanks and drink gas. I had an 80 and loved it we will see how this one goes. Gives me something to beat around in until the Sonoma is done.

Need to paint it neon orange and it would be pimptacular [roll]

Nice beater..... just be glad you don't have to get emissions on it or you would be screwed.

Oh yeah, Neon Orange +1000 ... looks like it's gonna need some love in the mean time, but they were great trucks.

Bah, who needs heat in this climate? It's 'tropical like warm' all year 'round here. Karl. [roll]

My wife's beater is a 92 Eddie Bauer Explorer. It had 160,000 on it when I picked it up and ove 190,000 now - just getting it broken in.

She calls it her "crap wagon" because the dog uses it as a kennel at night and goes everywhere with us in it and it keeps my real hunting/shooting vehicle (a 3/4ton Dodge Diesel 4x4 with lots of ATS goodies) free of dog hair. He's a Siberian Husky with a LOT OF FUR that he seems intent on leaving reminders of here and there.

    Default Nice

I like it. It has me thinking about finding one for a winter ride. I have a diesel (hates the cold. won't start below 10degrees unless plugged in) and had a 4Runner (niece smiled at me and took it). I'll need a reliable rugged 4x4 for the cold winter and that's a dang good lookin truck to consider. Saw one on craiglist but it was an ottermatic....gonna keep looking tho.

Nice truck. My Dad had a Jeep Wagon like that. Great vehicle off and on road.
