Default Need Gun Case for 2 rifles

I just discovered that my aluminum travel case which has stood the test of time and baggage handlers for over five years now won't fit my new XCR with the ACOG attached. And I've got a DSA SA58 on order and plan to either scope it or go with a red dot of some kind. What do you carry your rifles in to the range and on trips?

Does anybody have experience with one of the aluminum double rifle cases like the cabellas below - specifically would it take an XCR with 16 in barrel and a DSA FAL with 18 in barrel with assorted optics?

    Have you considered Pelican cases?

I have a small Pelican cases for camera gear, but have no experience with the versions large enough for rifles. Price wise, they are a wash with the heavy duty aluminum ones.

True on the pricing, but I think the over all durability and warranty on the Pelicans might make for a better general choice. I've seen ebbs and flows on them showing up on various forums for much cheaper than MSRP. I guess it depends on if you need it sooner rather than later. Ah well.. just a thought

I did just notice the guarranteed forever statement on the Pelican Cases. That's a significant consideration.

Once the Denver traffic lets up, I was planning to hit Sportsman's Warehouse, Gander Mountain, and Outdoor World to see what they had in stock. I have a trip to Texas at the end of March and was planning to take along enough weaponry to shoot IDPA along with taking my rifle to shoot at PSC in Houston. I might even have a FAL to go with my XCR by then.

I bought the DeeZee Double rifle case from Cabela's several years ago to hold 2 hunting rifles when traveling... I bought the versoin with the baggage wheels and full length steel rod... It holds 2 Remington 700 Magnums with 26" barrels, slings, one has a Zeiss 4.5-14x50 scope and the other has a Swarovski 3.5-12x50 scope with Harris bipod attached...
They fit fine and the case seems to handle travel in a truck, airline handlers and in hunting camps, etc...

Thanks for all the advice, I broke down and bought a Pelican 1750. I've ordered several foam sets and plan to set up three different configurations for flexibility. Not sure just what yet but I'm thinking along the lines of:
    1. XCR and DSA Para Congo - SHTF option 1
    2. XCR and two Sig pistols - SHTF option 2
    3. 300 Weatherby and 12 ga Orion - Hunting special
