hehe that doesn't always work.. have seen a couple times that the guy at the end of the line gets nabbed. The key is to find a "rabbit" who's driving about the same speed that you want to go and settle in some distance behind him.
since we're ranting..
I generally drive ~5 over limit on the highway (80) it bugs me a wee bit when I come up on someone going 75, change lanes, pass. then they speed up to pace me alongside. so now I'm stuck speeding up, blocking the lane, or dropping in behind them where they'll slow back down.
sheesh, you want a rabbit, let me get a couple hundred yards in front of you first.
(unfortunately given recent vehicle issues I'm more likely to be over on the right going slower)
Those lines serve dual purpose.
Not only do they tell aircraft your vehicle speed, but officers on an overpass can use these same lines without using radar. It's called VASCAR....no, not NASCAR.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
Proper "Rabbit" technique is if your following a rabbit give him at least a 1/4 mile plenty of time for you to adapt to oncoming issues or you can do what we do in DC and just Draft. If you haven't gone north on I25 between 4:30 and 6:00 pm between C. Springs and Castle Rock and enjoy NASCAR its a beautiful thing!! However if you drive a Diesel make sure you get a chip that removes the Governor!!
Favorite one liner of all time and its a quote of a very famous person to a State Trooper "I wasn't tailgating Officer....I was DRAFTIN!" Question is who said it???????
COLORADO AR-15 SHOOTERS TRIVIA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hint some people call him "The King"
Don't follow me you won't MAKE IT!
Don Prudhomme. Karl.
