    Default Mossberg Tactical Semi-Automatic 22

    Opinions?

I've only shot the S&W and that thing was a lot of fun. The Mossberg appears to be damn near the same thing for less money.

    Anyone have one?

I don't own one but I have handled one. The Mossberg is a piece of poo compared to the Smith. The Smith is by design and the Mossberg is just a dress up kit and not a very good one at that.

no problem. Kinda surprised that ANY company would be proud of putting out a product like that. Many owners claim that the screws that must be removed to clean the rifle STRIPPED out of the plastic shell after their FIRST time "stripping" the rifle for cleaning.

You can't go wrong with the S&W.

I have one and can't stand the thing. Jams, ftf, fte all the time. No matter what ammo. The 25 round magazines are a joke. Flop around in gun. Can only put about 10-15 rounds in them because it jams up otherwise. Cleaning is a total pain in the butt. It is true you have to take all the plastics off. Spend the extra $ and get something else.
I got mine for just goofing around and I don't even take it out any more.

Haven't seen the Mossy but I have a Smith that I love. Like it so much my .22 Upper hasn't seen any use since I got it! The Smith is light enough for my kids to shoot easily, and it uses standard AR fire control components so I was able to swap triggers and hammers to improve the trigger weight and feel.
