Carrying in National Forest?

This is absolutely legal (carrying openly, no permit required, Correct?) Brainard Lake Recreation area, for example, Would I be legally aloud to open carry while hiking there?

I thought so because its National Forest property but dont want to do anything stupid, so I figure I'd ask.

CO is an open carry state you can carry in a city or any place for that matter.
Denver got a liberal judge to rule that they can post parks as no open carry zones for instance but other than that open carry as you wish. :mrgreen:

thats what i figured. just wanted to make sure i didnt mix up national parks and national forests appreciate the input.

although, the communist republic of boulder you can open carry... but the weapon must be UNLOADED.... now THATS logical... (that information was given to me directly from the boulder country sheriffs office who issue permits for the area).

You talked to an idiot the law does not care as to whether or not a gun is loaded. Open carry is legal it makes no difference whether or not the gun is loaded.

The only law in CO that has anything to do with a loaded gun vs. unloaded is rifles can not be in a vehicle with a round in the chamber.

She said BOULDER is ONE city that has stricter open carry laws saying the gun cannot be loaded. The rest of the state, however, abides by normal open carry laws.
