    Default BluCore Shooting Center

Went there today to re-zero my SR-15 and Aimpoint CompM3 in their indoor rifle range. It's a very clean, well run shop that caters to the high-speed (or high speed wannabe) crowd. They have a ton of high end gear and firearms on display. I'm a total gear queer so it's perfect for me.

Got down to the rifle range and I was the only one in there. Everyone else was in the separate pistol range. This is the only indoor rifle range I've ever seen that goes out to 100 yards. I made the mistake of wearing my MSA Sordins today and my ears are still ringing from the sound of my rounds reverberating off the walls. Note to self, double up on earpro next time out.

Each lane had its own sand bag which was a nice touch, and I sat down with a few hundred rounds of XM193 and went to work. I'm terrible at sighting in anything but I think I did an okay job. Here is my last sight-in group at 50 yards:

For a 2MOA red dot with 2MOA ammo and a 10MOA shooter I'll take it

I tried out the pistol range next and it was a very nice facility. Digital hanger controls and it was pretty well ventilated. Unfortunately for my already ringing ears there were two people shooting their AR's in the pistol lanes and I just couldn't take the noise for long.

All in all I loved the place, but next time I'm wearing ear plugs under my Sordins.

Went there today. Super clean facility not a huge store but they have some nice accessories and a good supply of arms.

Pistol range was great, very well lite up.

Rifle range they make you sit, which for bench precision shooting is fine, but I want to practice standing up.

Apparently you can do that in the pistol range just don't get a lot of distance.

Overall great place and the staff there were very friendly at the range and upstairs on the retail counter which I did buy some new gloves.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

Been there once, will go back more than likely. Only gripe - one of the employees wouldn't stop nervously fidgeting with his revolver, cocking, decocking it. Made me a tad uncomfortable....

I stopped in earlier this year. Nice bunch of guys, I didn't shoot while I was there.... I did buy a bunch of mags and a "Guns Kill Dirtbag Terrorists" T-shirt.

Took my wife there to try several pistol options, we had a great time friendly staff knowledgable with what they were selling. Range was busy but well ventilated they had a great selection of the more popular ccw we wanted to try along with plenty of great full sizes guns to try. Recommend this facility to anyone

Made my first trip to Blue Core this weekend. I had been to the building before it became Blue Core and I must say, what an improvement over what used to be there!!!! Didn't visit the range this time but I thought the shop was awesome. I was greeted as I walked through the door, which has never happened to me at a Gunstore like this before. The guys behind the counter didn't act like they were too busy to help like so many other gun stores. They were actually happy to help! Very friendly service!

I think this will become my favorite, most frequented store. Semi-auto pistol selection is great (and priced well). Black Rifle selection is GREAT. Not a huge selection of AR accessories but better than the other stores in this neck-of-the-woods. Defensive ammo selection was great. Nice selection of bags but they could use a few more holsters. If there are any ladies reading this, I think they have the biggest selection of CCW purses and bags of any store I have been to in the metro area. (I was considering a present for the wife )

I went there last week to sight in a new scope on a 10/22 of mine. I only utilized the rifle range but it was clean and well ventilated. Its nice having an indoor range that goes to 100yds. Staff was friendly upstairs and down

    Default BlueCore Shooting Center??

New to the forum here. I am trying to find a good indoor range around the Lakewood area that allows for rifles and controlled bursts. Is BlueCore a good place for that? And if not can any of you guys recommend a good place anywhere from 30-45minutes away from Lakewood? Thanks.

You are good to go at BC assuming you are shooting in a safe and controlled manner. I've dumped AR mags without issue, but then again I've been going almost since they opened.

Theres a pretty long page on BC already. Ill be nice in my encouragement to use the search feature. Others may not be so kind.
