Default Colorado CCW honored in other states change recently..?

My wife mentioned that she saw something recently on a COS news channel that Colorado CCW's aren't honored out of state anymore..
    What's the scoop on that...?

haven't heard any bs story like that before...

    CONCEALED WEAPONS
Colorado law (CRS 18-12-213) states that Colorado will recognize a valid permit issued in another state IF the permittee is 21 yrs of age or older AND the other state recognizes Colorado permits as valid in their state.

Please see http://www.cbi.state.co.us/ccw/reciprocity.asp for a current listing of which states recognize Colorado permits.

Hmm.. Interesting... Maybe she misunderstood the story she saw... At any rate, when I got my CCW, one of the instructors gave us this URL,

    http://www.packing.org/state/colorad...?stateimage=11

which has a chart showing Colorado CCW reciprocity states... The chart hasn't indicated a change... It's also a good site for CCW issues in general...

the links I posted in the above reply were the OFFICIAL State of Colorado web sites and carry more clout than the Packing.Org ones (although they're pretty decent and usually up to date)

What your wife was hearing is there is a bill SB34 that will change the law that if you are a CO resident you have to get a CO permit. Out of state permits will still be honored as long as you are a resident of the state your permit was issued by.

It has not passed and is currently sitting in the House judiciary committee.
