I had never called coyotes at night until last winter. My friend had all the night equipment. We put his ND3x50 on my rifle when I was the shooter and it worked pretty slick. We only used the lazer when it was time to shoot. No illumated scope was needed because that lazer was plenty bright to make the shot.
The caller was also the shiner and he would set up directly behind the shooter and shine for eyes and operate the caller, and all the shooter would do is wait until he was ready to shoot and hit the lazer and shoot. Worked pretty slick.
I still much prefer day time calling though. I just prefer to watch'em come to the call.

I'd be interested in the differences beween the two you listed. If the scope mounting is better on one, or if battery life is much better, or just what it is that makes the genetics so much more expensive.
