So for the first time ever... the area I hunt Antelope in sold out within hours. All I have to say to the people making a run on tags: Hope you have fun getting onto the private property that makes up most of area 45.
Rant off

On an unrelated subject, I just drew an Antelope tag.
Anyone familiar with area 45?
(Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Seriously, sorry to hear you didn't draw your tag this year.
Better luck next year.
Maybe you can get a tag for a nearby area and still have a good season anyways.![]()
out of the six guys I go with I'm the was one with success. like SA Friday said, very few tags.
I got my archery deer tag.
I was talking to my coworker and he said that they are gonna issue more tags this year due to the fires and lack of habitat for the animals
Any truth to that?

Dow reduced elk tags because the population is about where they want it.
I could see them possibly issuing more deer tags along the foot hills for mule deer because they may be pushed into more populated areas but getting permission will be the hard part.
I think more hunters have moved in the state, the people who couldn't afford to hunt before got preference points and now cashed them in, and more people are realizing the healthy meat hunting provides along with reduced cost due to food prices skyrocketing.
Another factor could be the combining of DOW and the parks. Horrible move IMO
